I apologize for the late entry. I had to send my laptop in for a repair this past week and it has been a struggle to find the time and a computer to be able to do this. Anyways, to give you a bit of an update without having to write a novel life is going splendid. Last weekend I was in LA for a wedding and it was absolutely amazing. It was so wonderful to see family again, it really made all the difference. We enjoyed the tourist bits of LA and had a great time at the wedding. I did get rather ill just before leaving but luckily it has passed since.
Here back in England I have just started a new term of classes (even though it's the same classes as I've had all year long) and they are going just fine. I'm only concerned with celebrating my 21st birthday (this Tuesday) as of now so I must say school is the last thing on my mind (sorry Mom and Dad).

Anyways, life as I said is really amazing for me right now and I am so thankful. I hope life for all of you is just the same and let me know how it's going!

I was on skype with some friends from Minot last night and I told them I had absolutely nothing to do today so they suggested I write about what I've come to terms with this semester here in England, make a top ten list and include a soundtrack to my life here in England. Enjoy!

Yesterday marked my four month anniversary with England. It's been a rough relationship but I am growing immensely because of it. This experience has made me love myself more than I ever thought I could. I am 5,000 miles away from everything I know and love and do you know what? I am doing just fine. More than just fine actually, I am doing wonderful. It is not easy....by any means....to be here away from all of you but the fact that I am doing wonderful proves to me how strong of a person I am. This type of experience is not cut out for everyone and I would only suggest it to those who are comfortable enough with themselves to be dependent on just that—yourself. Because at the end of the day, no matter who you know here, you are all alone. This doesn't mean I haven't made friends here because I have. Really lovely friends in fact. And I want to thank all of my family and friends back home who have supported my decision in coming here. It's your support that keeps me going over here. I can't believe how much I have grown in just four months, and I still have six left here. I am looking forward to the new year, and what it has in store for me. I am so excited to return home to all of you and show you the new me.

The top ten memories of my time in England thus far (in no particular order):

Seeing Coldplay live in concert.
Dancing the night away till 4 A.M. on Halloween.

Sorry for having it in two segments. It's less frustrating for me to make them that way. By the way, the Thanksgiving surprise night I was given my first advent calendar (High School Musical themed). For those who don't know what it is (I know I didn't until I got one) an advent calendar is filled with 25 pieces of chocolate and on each day in December you find the number that is the same as the day, open the window and eat the chocolate. Genius really.

Also, I think I may have mentioned how I had to cook a feast because I lost a game of pool in my last entry. Turns out I make an English breakfast better than...well.....the English. Strange? I thought so.

I went to Liverpool this past weekend. It was a spur of the moment type of deal so there aren't many pictures to back it up. My full tour of Liverpool will be next Spring with Miss. So I'm guessing you're thinking to yourself..."HEY! Where is the video??"

Well, I have tried at least 6 times to make a new video for my blog but I have been interrupted each time by my roommate. So it looks like I will have to do this the old fashioned way. So stop your crying and put your glasses on. I know I'll be able to put a video up by the weekend but I have some stories to tell that are much too entertaining to wait for.

On November 22nd I will be attending a REAL football game. I say real because everyone here absolutely hates the way the U.S. has made football something completely different. I also say real because it's a premiere football league, in other words as good as it gets. I'll be watching the Liverpool "Reds" play the Fulham (south London) "Whites." All of the international students are absolutely thrilled to witness this. It will definitely be a highlight of my year here.

I was supposed to be going to a town called Blackpool this weekend but the trip has been rescheduled. Some of us are trying to plan to do some other type of trip but as of now I'm stuck in Chester for the weekend. I find it rather annoying that anything planned here ends up getting changed last minute. But that's really the English way of life. Very laid back, never on time for anything and very careless to be honest.

On to good news.....I ATE AT PIZZA HUT LAST NIGHT. I couldn't believe how comforting it was to eat there. It wasn't the same as home though, it was much more along the sides of fine dining...and I'm not even kidding. They had starters, tasting platters, pizza (which also did not taste the same but I will get to that later), pasta, sandwiches, chicken dinners, seafood dinners and incredible desserts. Ah, the pizza. I ordered pepperoni feast but when I took a bite it tasted like a bacon feast. I wasn't mad considering I miss bacon very much. For dessert I had profiteroles aka the dessert version of a yummy roll at Yuki Hana. It was basically a cold pastry stuffed with cream and smothered in chocolate.

HALLOWEEN IS NEAR!!!!! For those that don't know this is my favorite holiday in the whole world. We're having an international party on the Wednesday before and then most likely pub crawling on the actual night of Halloween. A few of us, including myself, will be going on a ghost tour of Chester (this town is apparently the most haunted town in all of Britain..?) It will be yet another wonderful Halloween. Ah, you're thinking "What are you dressing up as??" I WILL TELL YOU! I'm.......going..........to............be............a.................................................PENGUIN! I got the costume yesterday and it makes me giggle. My inspiration? Well that is a long story but it involves an exciting bus ride and a man named Dale.

Closing remarks-----I found out my dear friend Cassie from back home has been accepted to study abroad in Sweden this next semester! This means I will be going to Sweden and she will be coming to Chester! All summer long the two of us have been going back and forth planning a summer Eurotrip. We will be visiting Italy, France, The Netherlands and Ireland. Hearing that she was accepted was just confirmation that the trip will actually happen. So congratulations once again Cassie and I can't wait to see a familiar face!!!!!!!!

Alright, I apologize for doing this the old fashioned way and making y'all read. Hope it was as enjoyable as a video would be. Like I said I will have a video up this weekend for sure.

Tour of North Wales

I went to North Wales today and visited many famous attractions. The greatest of them all was the Conwy Castle. It was raining off and on throughout the day but it was still an amazing experience. I visited Snowdonia National Park and got my ass handed to me....literally. It was SO windy on the hills that I was blown over. I was soaking wet for the rest of the day. AH! I also ate at Great Britain's number one place for fish and chips! Very very satisfying. Hmm what else. OH! I saw Anthony's Hopkins retirement residency. I'm sure there is more but for now enjoy the pictures!

Okay....so I didn't go to Paris. But I hope to over Christmas, that is, after I see COLDPLAY on December 12th!!!!!!!!! So so so so SO excited. I have grown very close with so many international students, I just love it. I also have met a few locals, or at least Brits and they too are very nice. Life is just so amazing right now and is getting better each day. HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 PREMIERES IN 20 DAYS!!!!!!! What's that you say?

Beautiful. It WILL be a night to remember.

Other things about this country I have noticed are how amazing everyone looks at all times. At my school's dining hall there are signs posted everywhere that read "No lounge wear!" You have to be dressed in actual clothing to eat. WHAT A BRILLIANT COUNTRY.

Also, girls here look so so so amazing to go almost anywhere, especially to town. Wow. Very hard to compete with. The # or pound key is called hash here. Ah! So much American music is on the radio here. It's literally almost the same as any station in the U.S.

Well....I'd say that is about it for now. I hope everyone is doing alright.

I was going to add in the video that during my flight I was surrounded by two older british couples and they were so so sweet. They told me everywhere I need to go to while here and even offered me somewhere to stay. I was so shocked at how wonderful they were.

Ah I know what I forgot to mention....the MEN. So so so many to choose from. The best part? They all dress so perfect. Leather jackets, fitted jeans, scarves, beautiful hair I could go on and on. Have not had the opportunity to meet any just yet but I have only been here for 2 days and we're always with the international kids so it's rather difficult to branch out. However, the German guys are to die for.

Like I said, I will be taking pictures the next few days so I will upload those as soon as I can. I know I have more I am forgetting to say but there's been so much. I am responding to as much e-mail/facebook as I can so feel free to reply!

ALSO! Get skype if you don't have it already! The times I will be on it would be in the afternoon for you all. See for me it is 7:39 whereas in the states it is 1:39ish. So basically anywhere from noon to 4 (your time) I will be on here!!! Maybe not everyday but quite close.

I do plan to get a mobile (there's my English coming out....) most likely by the weekend. And I can receive calls for free!!!! So if you have an international plan or even skype you can call me!
